The interim inspection usually takes place quarterly or every 6 months unless the landlord decides not to have one at all. The inspection is to determine if the property is being looked after and kept in good order.

It will identify if the property requires maintenance or repair and also establishes whether or the tenants are meeting their contractual obligations.
